Dean Stockton, aka D*Face, says that when one day the pencil lines started to turn into the characters of a strange and dysfunctional world, one job ended and a whole new career opened up. As the characters evolved they began to satirize the world around them and, D*Face says, provide “a welcome jolt of subversion in today’s media-saturated environment.” For years he painted in secret, at night and Miami Culinary Tours reports that he didn’t reveal his identity until 2008, saying his identity was not relevant to the work, but by 2014 when he painted this large wall in the Miami neighborhood of Wynwood, Stockton had become a street art icon and also completed such high-profile projects as the 2010 Bionic album cover for Christina Aguilera. @dface_official @miami_culinary_tours @wynwoodmiami @scenesfromthesidewalk
