The Andalusian writer Belin is known worldwide for his signature post neo cubist style, applying his incredible photorealistic technique with a spray can to the art movement popularized by Picasso. As his work often features portraits of his peers, we asked him to pick out five of his favorite murals which demonstrate his impressive body of work as well as revealing the bonds he shares with the artists that are portrayed.
BiK Ismo My friend from Puerto Rico who I’ve met many times over the years. I painted his portrait because he paid me a visit in my hometown of Linares, and we had a really cool time. The wall was painted in the same town - Ciudad de Linares, Jaén.
Paola Delfin A friend and Mexican artist. We’ve coincided several times at festivals, and we’ve built up a very good friendship. This wall is particularly special because I deviated from my photorealistic style and I felt the liberty to capture a person from different perspectives. The mural was produced in Puerto Rico. 
Antonello Macs An artist from Italy that I got to spend some time with in Louisiana. The wall was painted in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 
Smug A great teacher, an amazing person and a special artist. A great friend. The wall was also painted in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 
Eski Writer Of Puerto Rican origin, member of the legendary FX crew and a great friend. The portrait was produced in the Bronx, NYC. 
Gotcha This wall is very special because it is my favorite of all: the story of the little monkey putting water in the machinery to create clouds. I love it. Gotcha is a friend from the old school Spanish scene, we had some great times in during festival season in Europe in the 90's. Fond memories. The wall is in Gimona de Fruli, Italy.
