First all all, sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm literally useless when it comes to graffiti.
I'm watching some people doing a graffiti and they are covering the paint with other colour.
For example, there is a pattern of horizontal orange lines and they covered it with with plaint.
Why do they do this? Will the blue paint degrade and show the orange lines later on?
